We are still hard at work putting together the full line-up for BAND 2019, but are delighted to announce a number of the international guitarists who will be making BAND 2019, The Year of The Guitar!
Nashville-guitarist Porter McClister, the original inspiration for The BAND Festival is travelling from Nashville to Dunfanaghy for BAND 2019!
Porter is an extremely talented, Nashville based guitarist and singer. On the big stage, he was the lead guitarist with American country music star Tanya Tucker, as well as Gretchen Wilson. He sang back up to Alison Krauss on the “Oh Brother Where Art Thou” soundtrack. Porter will be joined by a host of extremely talented musicians from across Donegal!
Armed with a powerful and affecting voice, compelling songs, and virtuoso guitar skills, Shawn Jones has been captivating his audiences for 25 years!
Whether solo or with his blues/rock trio he’s been making his mark throughout the U.S., Ireland, United Kingdom and Europe. Shawn has shared bills with many renowned musicians, including B.B. King, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Bonnie Raitt, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Leon Russell, Derek Trucks, and many others.
Stephen Inglis is a Guitar Slinger & Word Singer from Honolulu who plays Grammy-nominated Hawaiian slack key guitar!
A versatile artist crossing multiple genres, he records and tours with the most respected traditional musicians. His duet album with legend Dennis Kamakahi, Waimaka Helelei, won Hawaii’s highest musical honor. His album Slackin on Dylan opened up new territory for slack key, winning him a Hawaii Music Award!
Coming all the way from Italy to play in Dunfanaghy the Lovesick Duo are an incredibly vibrant & energetic two-piece that never fail to entertain a crowd!
Rocking any guitar at hand & with the fastest double bass playing you’ll see this side of Pisa the duo explore Bluegrass, Country & Rock’n’Roll! Touring throughout Europe & the U.S. the Lovesick Duo are returning to Donegal for BAND 2019!

Hailing from County Cork the Two Time Polka are an Irish Cajun band and a highlight of any festival they play! With a distinctive sound that has its roots in Cajun, Zydeco, and Bluegrass music they produce a spectacularly vibrant show! If you haven't heard them already come along & see why they are always a favourite in Dunfanaghy!
Mules & Men are an Irish 4 piece band bound together by a shared love of folk & bluegrass, reinterpreting these classic sounds into a unique and contemporary style of their own, drawing on influences that are wide ranging. With three part harmonies, blazing string playing , and inspired original material, this band has been bringing audiences to a standstill all over the country!
Donegal musicians Erdini are influenced by both their locality and the extensive culture of Ireland and incorporate elements of bluegrass, country, blues, jazz and traditional Irish music. They are well-known for their often raucous performances, blistering solos and scintillating vocal harmonies!
Some of Ireland's most beautiful beaches, cliffs, headlands, forest parks and scenry can all be found in the area around Dunfanaghy. The location of Dunfanaghy makes it the perfect base for visiting the beautiful north west.
The village overlooks the magnificant Horn Head, is adjacent to the blue flag Kilahoey beach with its golden sands and crystal clear water, and is a short drive to the picturesque harbour at Portnablagh, the blue flag beach at Marble Hill, Ards Forest Park, Ards Friary, Doe Castle, the Rosguill Peninsula, the Fanad Peninsula, Glenveigh National Park.
Dunfanagy is also located right on the Wild Atlantic Way! Perfect!
The year 2019 will be the third year of The BAND Festival.
We are currently constructing a line-up of quality Bluegrass & Nashville inspired musicians. If you are part of a band, or know of a good band, please contact us.
